Infection & Immunity gives an overview looking at immunity with respect to infection. It describes the key infectious agents our bodies encounter and how our immune system responds to them. It also explains how diseases are spread and what measures we can take to control this spread, from vaccination to increasing public awareness. Chapters cover topics such as HIV, TB, and malaria. The text then goes on to look at infantile diarrhoea and respiratory disease. Chapters also considers innate recognition, cell signalling, cancer, and pregnancy.
